Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and update CNA schedules for all shifts.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained in accordance with facility needs and regulatory requirements.
- Contact staff to fill open shifts, vacancies, and call-offs.
- Manage daily staffing adjustments and communicate schedule changes promptly.
- Maintain accurate attendance, call-off, and staffing records.
- Track overtime and assist with labor management initiatives.
- Coordinate staffing needs with nursing leadership and department managers.
- Assist with scheduling agency staff when approved by leadership.
- Monitor staffing patterns and report concerns to the Director of Nursing and Administrator.
- Ensure schedules are posted and communicated in a timely manner.
- Respond to staffing emergencies, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Assist employees with scheduling questions and requests.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and resident information.
- Support payroll and timekeeping processes as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Active CNA Certification in good standing with the State of Tennessee Board of Nursing
- Previous staffing, scheduling, healthcare, or administrative experience preferred.
- Long-term care or skilled nursing facility experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of staffing regulations and healthcare scheduling practices preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to use office equipment including computers, phones, and printers.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
