Position Summary

Dickson Health and Rehab is seeking a highly organized and dependable CNA Staffing Scheduler to coordinate and maintain Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) staffing schedules to ensure adequate resident care coverage. The CNA Staffing Scheduler works closely with nursing leadership, department managers, and staff to manage schedules, fill open shifts, track attendance, and support staffing operations in a fast-paced long-term care environment.

The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly to staffing needs while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and update CNA schedules for all shifts.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained in accordance with facility needs and regulatory requirements.
• Contact staff to fill open shifts, vacancies, and call-offs.
• Manage daily staffing adjustments and communicate schedule changes promptly.
• Maintain accurate attendance, call-off, and staffing records.
• Track overtime and assist with labor management initiatives.
• Coordinate staffing needs with nursing leadership and department managers.
• Assist with scheduling agency staff when approved by leadership.
• Monitor staffing patterns and report concerns to the Director of Nursing and Administrator.
• Ensure schedules are posted and communicated in a timely manner.
• Respond to staffing emergencies, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Assist employees with scheduling questions and requests.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and resident information.
• Support payroll and timekeeping processes as assigned.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Active CNA Certification in good standing with the State of Tennessee Board of Nursing
• Previous staffing, scheduling, healthcare, or administrative experience preferred.
• Long-term care or skilled nursing facility experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of staffing regulations and healthcare scheduling practices preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
• Ability to use office equipment including computers, phones, and printers.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
