Responsibilities
- Welcome and build rapport with patients to create a comfortable experience
- Perform dental cleanings and preventive hygiene procedures
- Take digital radiographs and intraoral images as needed
- Conduct periodontal charting and assess oral health conditions
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, home care, and preventive treatments
- Communicate clinical findings effectively with the doctor and patients
- Administer local anesthesia when permitted by state regulations
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Ensure treatment rooms are clean, organized, and stocked
- Follow infection control and sterilization protocols in compliance with regulations
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating patient follow-up care as needed
Skills & Qualifications
- Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Tennessee
- CPR certification required
- Knowledge of periodontal therapy and preventive dentistry
- Experience with digital charting and radiographs
- Experience with Dentrix and/or Dexis systems preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to educate and build trust with patients
