What are the responsibilities and job description for the Water Garden - Koi Pond Maintenance position position at Dickson Brothers, Inc?
Like working outside? Our water garden department is just the thing.
Some days you will be outdoors potting water lilies or cleaning a garden pond or a koi fish pond. Some days you will be removing old pumps and filters and replacing them with new. Some days you will be in the store, helping customers select pond fish, water lilies or equipment for their pond. This is not a comprehensive list of the job.
Experience in pond keeping and aquatics is helpful. This means water quality testing and pond water maintenance, water lily pruning and fertilizing, sizing pond filters and pumps appropriate to the pond size and fish volume. Training on the job is available for the motivated candidate.
Please note: This job is often physically demanding. It requires a lot of working outside, and often getting wet. Must have current driver’s license, be able to sometimes lift up to 50 lbs safely & pass a drug test. A positive, can do attitude is a must. The ability to pull and back up a trailer is very helpful.
