JOB DESCRIPTION:
Individual will be responsible for creating and leading various unique art projects for 6-12 year old in a classroom setting at the West River Ice Center for four days a week. Individual has experience with youth and knowledge of a variety of basic art skills for youth to create projects that use the individual’s creative expression. Responsible for developing daily art projects each week and implementing them. Can give verbal clear directions to participants. A confident leader and role model for the participants in the program and Summer Art Instructor. Able to take direction from the Program Supervisor. This position requires extensive contact with youth and peers as well as adults. Handles daily paperwork and utilizes the philosophy, policies and procedures set forth by Dickinson Parks and Recreation. Availability must be during the duration of May-July.
