We're looking to hire a Manager of Maintenance to play a pivotal role in the setup, hiring, training, and launch of this cutting-edge facility.
The Maintenance Manager leads maintenance responsibilities at their assigned distribution center, ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable performance of the material handling equipment, building systems, and infrastructure. The position oversees preventative maintenance programs, repairs, and capital budgets and drives continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, the maintenance manager drives compliance, safety, and team development while collaborating with cross-functional partners to maintain seamless distribution center performance.
Role Responsibilities:
Maintenance Management
- Partner with DC Director to ensure building flow supports operational needs.
- Ensuring that all scheduled PMs are completed with a 95% or greater completion rate.
- Actively manage parts inventory to maintain adequate levels of spare parts.
- Oversee and manage CMMS system to ensure accurate work order tracking and asset management.
- Collaborate with Maintenance analyst and Projects Team to monitor capital and expense spending.
- Manage direct reports such as asst. managers, supervisors, technicians, and janitors.
Maintenance and Capital Project Execution
- Communicate directly with operational leadership to coordinate maintenance and repair activities.
- Support maintenance and repairs by assisting with troubleshooting and problem solving as needed.
- Partner with capital team to drive project execution within the distribution centers.
- Facilitate and coordinate services with outside vendors and contractors.
- Manage maintenance resources to provide most efficient and cost-effective operation.
- Ensure adequate, cost-effective inventories of supplies, spare parts and maintenance materials/tools, and repair parts.
Teammate Development
- Hire, train, and conduct regular performance evaluations including quarterly touchbase and annual reviews.
- Provide continuous development through training, coaching, and mentoring including developing goals and individual growth plans.
- Coordinate, plan and execute MHE specific training with system integrators.
- Create and sustain a positive work environment for all team members.
Safety
- Provide, promote, and maintain a safe work environment for all teammates.
- Ensure all safety requirements and regulations are being adhered to, including all OSHA standards with related record-keeping.
- Collaborate with safety specialist on all related issues and projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or other related degrees
- 5-7 year Maintenance Management Role
- Knowledge of a computerized maintenance program
- Previous and proven work experience with conveyors
- Knowledge and experience of Programmable Logic Controls
- Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and regulations
Working knowledge of Lockout/Tag out procedures
Understanding preventive/predictive and corrective principles and techniques.
Capital and expense budgeting expertise
