Business Performance & Action Planning
- Act as the trusted partner to site merch to support strategic business and site planning, enabling eCommerce goals of topline sales growth, online penetration, and category share targets for top categories
- Analyze weekly, monthly, and seasonal performance at the category, product, and key-item level to understand what is driving results online vs. the broader omni business.
- Identify upside opportunities and business risks based on channel customer behavior, competitive dynamics, and product performance.
- Analyze eCommerce sales, margin, inventory position, and sell-through to understand performance trends and demand signals unique to the online channel.
- Partner with Site Merchants to support strategic placement, on-site presentation, promotional decisions, and assortment prioritization.
- Analyze assortment breadth, depth, and fulfillment by channel to identify white space opportunities and ensure inventory supports demand.
- Collaborate with Site Merchants and core Planning teams to influence the buy, with a focus on extended assortment and digital-first trends.
- Act as the planning counterpart to Site Merchants, while partnering with core Planning, Allocation, and eCommerce teams to ensure alignment to financial goals.
- Serve as the voice of the digital business in conversations with the omni Merchandise Planning team, guiding decisions on reorder opportunities, receipts, and inventory flow.
- Support seasonal milestones and line reviews with data-driven recommendations that reflect digital opportunities.
- Support forecasting for key events (e.g., Holiday, Back to School, Father’s Day) by partnering with eCommerce and Planning teams to ensure inventory and promotional strategies align with financial targets.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
- 5-7 years experience, including 2 years of planning or related merchandising/eCommerce experience
- Excel proficiency
- SAS
- Strong communication and partnership building skills
- eCommerce knowledge a plus
- Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail
- Advance retail math skills
