Job Description
- Hardware Installation: Rack and stack switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless equipment
- Cabling: Terminate copper and fiber cabling; label, test, and maintain cable infrastructure
- Basic Configuration: Apply templates and configure VLANs, ports, and firmware updates
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve Layer 1–2 issues; escalate complex problems as needed
- Inventory Management: Track hardware, modules, optics, and spare equipment
- Documentation: Maintain and update network diagrams, patch records, and change logs
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in network hardware or IT infrastructure
- Working knowledge of switches, routers, wireless access points, and firewalls
- Familiarity with VLANs, trunking, port security, and basic routing concepts
- Experience with fiber and copper cabling, testing tools, and labeling standards
- Ability to read rack diagrams and follow deployment instructions
- Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certification, CCNA, JNCIA, Network
Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
