Dibble seekings Project Managers and Senior Project Managers with water and wastewater engineering experience to join its growing Utilities Practice in Denver. The Opportunity


The Project Manager or Senior Project Manager will lead the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Depending on experience, the successful candidate may also help expand Dibble’s Utilities Practice in Colorado through client development, team leadership, mentoring, and participation in strategic growth initiatives.

This opportunity is well suited for an engineer who wants to manage important projects, build trusted client relationships, develop other professionals, and advance into a broader leadership role within a respected and growing firm.


Key Responsibilities


  • Experience in designing and implementing water and wastewater infrastructure projects, water pipelines, wells, boosters, reservoirs, in addition to wastewater gravity sewer mains, lift stations, force mains, and odor control
  • Program management, water and sewer planning, and master plans
  • Actively pursue Marketing and Business Development opportunities while building new and maintaining existing client relationships
  • Participate in the execution of Company strategic initiatives
  • Represent the Company at industry events and conferences
  • Participate and coach project teams for new project interviews
  • Prepare and negotiate scopes of work, schedules and fee proposals
  • Assemble project teams (subconsultants, internal staff) for pursuits
  • Set up accounting and budget tracking for new projects
  • Prepare and manage project schedules and budgets
  • Coordinate all aspects of project life cycle, including: clients/owners, design teams, internal staff and all other necessary resources
  • Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control for project deliverables
  • Provide clarification and direction to technical staff on project issues and general engineering principles
  • Prepare project billing/invoices and follow up with clients to ensure timely receipt of payment
  • Evaluate company practices and processes to provide input for continuous improvement
  • Actively participate in the career development of staff


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 8 years (PM) and 12-15 years experience for (SR PM) in civil engineering, preferably involving water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Colorado or the ability to obtain registration within six months.
  • Project-management experience with responsibility for schedules, budgets, quality, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Professional Engineer registration in Colorado or the ability to obtain Colorado registration within six months of employment.
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license or the ability to obtain one within three months of the start date.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles and project-delivery practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong communication, leadership, negotiation, and client-management skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, professional integrity, accountability, and Dibble’s values.


The level of the position—Project Manager or Senior Project Manager—will be determined based on the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications.


Compensation:


Annual base salary: $110,000–$150,000, depending on experience

The salary range is provided in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final compensation will be based on the successful candidate’s education, qualifications, professional credentials, and relevant experience.
