Diazyme, an affiliate of General Atomics, is a cGMP and ISO 13485 certified medical device manufacturer. Diazyme uses its proprietary enzyme technologies to develop diagnostic reagents which can be used on most automated chemistry analyzers in user-friendly formats. We have an exciting opportunity for a Department Assistant to join our Warehouse and Facilities team located in Poway, CA.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under close supervision, this position assists with the daily oversight of building operations. In addition, this position will be the primary backup to Diazyme’s Picking and Packing and Warehouse inventory teams. Performs a variety of routine activities in support of one or more Company project, business or technical units. Primary contacts are within the department with occasional contact with management.

- Assist with facilities, maintenance and vendor coordination.
- Helps maintain accurate detailed equipment maintenance records and logbooks related to the building and/or equipment.
- Gathers, collects, records, tracks, verifies data and information from multiple sources.
- Coordinates and tracks the progress of unit work assignments and/or projects.
- Fulfills standard and immediate inventory requests.
- Prepares requested electronic and hard copy reports.
- May package, label and document items for shipping.
- May respond to routine requests for information from internal sources.
- Maintains and updates a variety of confidential and sensitive electronic and/or hard copy reports and records.
- Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must demonstrate a broad understanding of assigned functional area principles, theories, and concepts.
