Plumber / Plumbing Apprentice – Residential Service
Diaz Plumbing LLC is looking for a dependable, motivated plumber or plumbing apprentice who wants to grow with a small, established residential plumbing company.
This position is ideal for someone who already has hands-on plumbing experience but is still developing the skills needed to independently run service calls. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well, shows up on time, and is willing to learn how we do things at Diaz Plumbing.
Starting Pay: $25-28 per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated ability.
There is opportunity for increased pay as skills, responsibility, and independence are proven. Our goal is to develop the right person into a technician who can eventually operate a service vehicle and handle residential plumbing calls independently.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Assist with and perform residential plumbing service and repair work
- Diagnose common plumbing problems under supervision
- Install and repair water heaters, toilets, faucets, disposals, valves, fixtures, and piping
- Assist with sewer, drain, water line, and gas piping repairs
- Perform repiping and plumbing installation work
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Protect customers’ homes and property while working
- Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
- Follow company procedures and plumbing code requirements
- Keep company tools, equipment, and vehicles clean and organized
- Complete assigned work efficiently and correctly
- Learn proper diagnosing, estimating, customer communication, and service-call procedures
What We Are Looking For:
- Previous plumbing experience preferred
- Residential service experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical ability
- Willingness to learn and accept coaching
- Dependable transportation and attendance
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift, carry, climb, kneel, crawl, and work in attics or tight spaces
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers
- Someone who wants a career and opportunity for advancement, not just a temporary job
What Success Looks Like:
The right person will progress from assisting and working under supervision to independently diagnosing problems, completing repairs, communicating with customers, and eventually running residential service calls on their own.
Pay and responsibility will increase as abilities are demonstrated.
Diaz Plumbing LLC serves the Greater New Orleans area and focuses on residential plumbing service, repairs, water heaters, tankless water heaters, gas piping, drain and sewer work, and larger repiping projects.

Pay: $25.43 - $30.63 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
