Production Worker

Diaz Manufacturing, an industry leader in the production of wood cabinet doors and drawers, is seeking motivated production technicians (entry level manufacturing) to perform a variety of production-related job tasks at their 747 Grow Avenue Montrose PA location. Previous wood working experience is helpful, but not necessary. We will train the right candidates!

***Four day work week (M-Th 6a-4:30p) with overtime opportunities available dependent upon production needs.***

Essential Job Functions

· Read paperwork, follow detailed instruction and perform related assigned tasks by department / plant leadership

· Check quality of product by use of a tape measure or other measuring tools/equipment

· Work in a fast-paced production environment

· Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages

· Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues

· Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area

· Collaborate with team members to meet production goals

· Wears all required safety equipment such as, but not limited to safety glasses and hearing protection

Minimum Requirements

· Must be able to read a tape measure, accurately

· Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English

· Basic math and ability to use (read) a tape measure

· Reliable transportation to/from the workplace

· Ability to stand for long periods of time

· Solid attendance

In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.

Preferred Qualifications

· High school diploma or GED

· Previous experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred

· Proficient in using hand tools and power tools

· Experience with woodworking equipment is a plus

Working Conditions

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Please note: depending on the specific position, the physical requirements may differ.

· The employee is constantly required to stand on concrete; walk; use hands to grip, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position involves lifting up to 5 pounds for long periods of time through the day. Frequently push/pull up to 25 pounds. Constant bending, reaching and twisting.

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be in areas exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
