- Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments efficiently.
- Handle phone communication with professionalism, providing excellent customer service and appointment reminders while maintaining proper phone etiquette
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring all office supplies are stocked and equipment is functioning properly
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for report generation and data entry tasks
- Communicate effectively in bilingual settings when necessary to serve diverse patient populations
Experience
- Previous clinic or medical office experience is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), billing procedures, and health insurance processes.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle phone communication professionally and courteously.
- Proven clerical experience supporting front desk operations in a healthcare environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve diverse patient populations.
- Strong computer skills including typing (10-key), filing, data entry, and Microsoft Office Suite are required.
- Knowledge of clinical confidentiality policies and healthcare regulations such as HIPAA ensures compliance at all times.
