This role involves the review and request of fee approvals from clients, ensuring compliance with billing guidelines, internal policies, and legal standards. Diaz Anselmo & Associates P.A. is seeking a meticulous and deadline-driven Fee Approval Specialist to support our billing operations. This role involves the review and request of fee approvals from clients, ensuring compliance with billing guidelines, internal policies, and legal standards. This role requires a high degree of multi-tasking, accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and submit fee approvals in line with client billing guidelines
- Collaborate with attorneys and billing staff to resolve non-compliant entries
- Monitor team queues and maintain timely processing
- Communicate with clients on escalated fee matters
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure requests are complete and properly documented.
- Stay current on platform requirements (Legal Tracker, Tempo, etc.)
- Provide team support during periods of backlog, high demand, or absences.
- Support cross-training, system upgrades, and special projects
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance preferred
- Experience in legal billing or fee approvals is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Perfect Practice, ICE, Tempo, PAID
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Standard office duties including sitting, typing, and occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs).
