Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Director to lead our organization towards achieving its mission and strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in management and senior leadership, with a proven track record in strategic planning, business development, operations management, and grant writing. Responsibilities
- Oversee direction of the agency programs.
- Coordinate and oversee Systems Change and Community Education in the areas of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Human Trafficking, Stalking, and Teen Dating Violence.
- Coordination of activities with other appropriate local agencies.
- Provide Fiscal Management.
- Coordinate activities with other domestic violence and sexual assault programs throughout the state.
- Hiring, firing, and scheduling the work activities of all staff.
- Periodic evaluation of the staff as determined.
- Reporting to the Board of Directors concerning the program operations.
- In conjunction with other staff, provide victim support services by telephone, face-to-face, or electronically, to residential, nonresidential, or walk-in clients, and assist in providing 24-hour hotline coverage.
- Oversee completion of all reports necessary for the smooth operation of the agency.
- Oversee Media Development and Implementation, Systems Change and Community Education in the areas of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Human Trafficking, Stalking and Teen Dating Violence.
- Will attend ongoing training annually to enhance job skills.
- Prepare grants and other funding proposals.
- Organize and facilitate staff meetings.
- Provide supervision for program supervisors and other staff as determined.
- Oversee that the facility meets health and safety guidelines.
- Engage in planning and coordinating agency special events including fundraisers and commemorative occasions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field of commensurate experiences, (preference Master's Degree), knowledge in bookkeeping, grant writing, and public speaking.
- Must be sensitive toward the dynamics of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Human Trafficking, Stalking and Teen Dating Violence and be willing to have ongoing training in this area.
- Must have a positive attitude and display a willingness to serve with dedication and interest.
- Must be able to work effectively with others within the agency and to meet and interact easily with individuals and groups outside the agency.
- Must be able to maintain the mental stability and physical ability to perform duties.
- Must possess ability to communicate with wide range of individuals with appropriate vocabulary and grammatical skills.
- Must attend New Service Provider Training within the first 6 months of hire.
- Must be able to perform duties with little supervision and be self motivated.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 β 40 per week
