Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items with attention to quality and presentation
- Operate an ancient cash register that's mechanical and doesn't break down
- Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit
- Manage cash register operations, including cash handling, credit card processing, and balancing cash drawers at shift end
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and café environment
- Assist with food handling and basic food preparation to ensure timely service and product freshness
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product levels to ensure smooth operations
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in food service with strong coffee knowledge and customer service skills
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods seamlessly
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for cash handling, sales reconciliation, and inventory counts
- Strong understanding of food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and proper sanitation practices
- Effective communication skills to engage customers positively and work collaboratively with team members
- Basic math skills for cashiering, sales calculations, and daily reporting tasks
