Job Summary:
The Grounds Crew members will be responsible for maintaining the property at Diamondhead Resort, and assisting when needed with upkeep of the river, equipment, and facilities. They will have stamina for all climate conditions, good communication and organization skills, can solve problems, be coachable, have a positive attitude and value teamwork. This position reports to the General Manager.
Job Duties:
Maintain clean and well-kept resort grounds, including lawn care, landscaping, trash removal, and facility upkeep.
Perform routine inspections of the property to ensure safety, cleanliness, and functionality.
Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, weed trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
Support setup and breakdown for resort events, including tents, chairs, and signage.
Perform general maintenance duties including mowing and weed eating, sweeping, raking, hauling, moving furniture or equipment, power washing, pest control, and planting of shrubs or trees.
Fuel and repair equipment as needed.
Keep all equipment in exceptional condition, cleaning and servicing as needed.
Operate maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
Replenish supplies such as weed eater line, trash bags, etc.
Other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions.
Ability to stoop, bend, pull, and safely lift up to 75 lbs. regularly.
Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to operate hand and power tools.
Prior ground maintenance experience preferred, especially in commercial settings.
Must be dependable, punctual, and professional.
Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s license and a clear background check.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
