The Communications Intern will support Diamondback Energy’s communications and public affairs efforts. This role will assist with creating internal and external materials, supporting volunteer and community events, and helping promote the company’s brand in the local community.

The Communications Intern will support Diamondback Energy’s communications and public affairs efforts. This role will assist with creating internal and external materials, supporting volunteer and community events, and helping promote the company’s brand in the local community.
Internship Duties And Responsibilities
Include but not limited to:
- Help draft internal and external communications (press releases, media advisories, social media content, employee emails, event announcements, and more).
- Collaborate with the Corporate Affairs team on social investment and community engagement projects.
- Assist with planning and supporting community events and volunteer initiatives.
- Attend local events to represent the company and strengthen community partnerships.
- Provide updates and reports on activities to Government Affairs leadership.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Business, or a related field.
- Strong writing, organization, and communication skills.
- Creative and enthusiastic about engaging with employees and the local community.
- Team-oriented, detail-focused, and ready to jump in and help wherever needed.
- GPA of 3.20 or higher preferred
- Extracurricular achievements or prior work experience is desirable
- Customer service or communications experience is a plus!
