Diamond Willow is seeking a dedicated Regional Maintenance Technician to join our Western Division team. This full-time role ensures the upkeep, safety, and functionality of our buildings and grounds across assigned communities. The ideal candidate will reside in or between Detroit Lakes, MN, and Park Rapids, MN, with frequent travel required.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor, operate light construction tools, and ensure timely project completion.
- The ability to obtain annual bids for lawn care and snow removal for sites in Little Falls, Detroit Lakes and Park Rapids, MN locations.
- Resident room turnovers
- Oversee maintenance purchases, appliances, generators, and vendor management.
- Conduct routine building maintenance, including:
- Basic plumbing (e.g., repairing leaks, addressing clogs).
- Basic electrical work (e.g., replacing light fixtures, switches, and sockets).
- Changing air filters on HVAC systems.
- Appliance installation and medical equipment assembly/disassembly.
- Apply paint and conduct general upkeep as needed.
- Review and update Disaster Plans annually.
- Ensure safety for employees and residents at all times.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with residents, staff, and families.
- Ability to lift objects up to 60 lbs and operate light/heavy equipment.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Competence in reading and understanding instructions.
- Regular use of hands and arms; occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Ability to lift and move up to 60 lbs.
- Vision abilities required: close vision and color recognition.
- Work environment may involve construction sites, outdoor exposure, and varying noise levels.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on-call work as needed).
- Wage: Starting pay is $23/hourly, more based on experience.
- Travel: 100% travel within Detroit Lakes, Park Rapids, and Little Falls, MN. Company vehicle provided.
- Minimum of two years of related experience or education in maintenance or a similar field.
