Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain overhead doors, using hand tools and power tools.
- Perform glass installation for door panels or related fixtures with precision and care.
- Read technical drawings to accurately execute installation and repair procedures.
- Use construction skills such as carpentry, metal stud framing, trim carpentry, and locksmithing to support door hanging, framing, or fixture installation projects.
- Handle heavy lifting safely while transporting materials or equipment on construction sites.
- Perform electrical work related to door operation systems when required, including troubleshooting wiring issues.
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure weatherproofing and proper insulation of installed doors.
- Utilize schematics for troubleshooting mechanical or electrical issues with overhead door systems.
