Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assessments to determine the appropriate treatment plan for patients with substance use disorders
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address mental health issues and promote emotional well-being
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychotherapy
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure holistic treatment
- Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Substance Use Therapist or similar role
- Proficiency in addiction counseling, direct support, working with people with autism, and behavioral health
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic evaluation methods and medical terminology
- Experience in conducting patient assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
- Proven ability to provide effective psychotherapy and group therapy sessions
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field in state of NJ
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Therapist or Counselor
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
