Position Overview:
Diamond Prep Baseball is seeking a motivated, experienced, and results-driven Area Baseball Director to grow and manage youth baseball programs within their designated region. This is an independent contractor role, offering flexibility and performance-based compensation through team coaching, player recruitment, and local program facilitation.
The Regional Baseball Director will serve as a key ambassador and coach, responsible for recruiting players, building complete teams, identifying and mentoring coaches, and ensuring all activities align with Diamond Prep Baseball Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and grow youth baseball teams, including recruiting players and developing full team rosters.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop coaches who adhere to Diamond Prep’s philosophy and standards.
- Use Diamond Prep resources, practice plans, and training programs to elevate player and team performance.
- Facilitate local training sessions, clinics, and development programs for players and coaches.
- Maintain strong relationships with families, players, and coaches as a positive ambassador of Diamond Prep Baseball.
- Ensure all programs, practices, and communications comply with Diamond Prep Baseball Standards.
- Track and report regional growth, recruitment efforts, and team performance metrics to Diamond Prep leadership.
Qualifications:
- Required: College or professional baseball experience as a player, coach, or trainer.
- Preferred: Local youth baseball coaching experience with the ability to bring players or coaches to Diamond Prep.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to recruit and motivate players and coaches effectively.
- Commitment to Diamond Prep Baseball’s values, standards, and development philosophy.
Compensation:
Earnings derived from:
- Coaching assigned teams
- Recruiting players and building teams
- Facilitating local training programs and clinics
Legal & Compliance Notes:
- Independent Contractor: This role is a contractor position. The Area Baseball Director is not an employee of Diamond Prep Baseball and is responsible for all taxes, insurance, and benefits. Nothing in this agreement creates an employer-employee relationship, partnership, or joint venture.
- Standards Compliance: Contractor must adhere to all Diamond Prep Baseball Standards and may not represent themselves as an employee of Diamond Prep in any official capacity.
- Intellectual Property: All practice plans, training materials, and resources provided remain the property of Diamond Prep Baseball. Contractor may not share, distribute, or sell materials outside approved Diamond Prep activities.
- Termination: Either party may terminate the contract with written notice. Upon termination, contractor is not entitled to bonuses, recruiting fees, or intellectual property rights.
- Legal Compliance: Contractor agrees to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including youth sports safety and child protection regulations.
