This role will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for earthwork, underground utilities, roadway, drainage, and infrastructure projects while collaborating closely with operations, project management, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil and infrastructure projects
- Analyze plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope
- Perform quantity takeoffs for:
- Earthwork
- Underground utilities
- Drainage systems
- Roadway construction
- Concrete structures
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
- Develop detailed cost breakdowns including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
- Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving alternatives
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits
- Collaborate with project managers and operations teams during project handoff
- Assist with budgeting, conceptual estimates, and change order pricing
- 5 years of experience estimating heavy civil or infrastructure construction projects
- Strong experience with earthwork, utilities, grading, and roadway construction
- Ability to perform accurate quantity takeoffs and cost analysis
- Proficiency with estimating software (such as HeavyBid, HCSS, Bluebeam, Agtek, or similar)
- Strong understanding of construction methods, equipment, and production rates
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously
- Experience estimating projects valued $5M – $100M
- DOT, municipal, or infrastructure project experience
- Knowledge of Montana or regional civil construction markets
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- $100K – $150K Base Salary (DOE)
