We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Intervention Supervisor to lead and coordinate services for young children with developmental delays or disabilities and their families. Duties
- Supervise and mentor a team of early intervention specialists.
- Coordinate intake processes, including initial assessments and diagnostic evaluations, to determine eligibility for early intervention programs.
- Oversee the development and implementation of individualized family service plans (IFSPs), ensuring they meet regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards, and medical documentation protocols.
- Conduct regular case management activities, including client
- care planning, progress monitoring, data collection, and updating medical records with accurate clinical notes.
- Collaborate with pediatricians, special education teams, hospital staff, and community agency
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations governing early intervention services, including documentation standards under HIPAA and CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Promote a positive team environment that emphasizes professional growth, cultural competence, and family-centered care principles.
Skills
- Minimum of an approved Bachelor’s degree or higher in the following: Child/Human Development, Education, Early Childhood, Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, Psychology, Public Health, Social Work, or Sociology
- Minimum 1-year experience working with children ages 0 – 5 years.
- CPR certification is required
- Experience working with children in clinical or community settings for at least 1 year. Especially those with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques to engage families effectively in treatment planning.
- Knowledge of home-based and community care models to support children in their natural environments..
- Ability to manage medical records accurately while maintaining strict confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines..
- Strong leadership skills to supervise multidisciplinary teams effectively while fostering professional development.
- Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively with families, healthcare providers, educators, and community partners.
