POSITION OVERVIEW:
Manages all plant operation processes including production, shipping, quality control, purchasing and safety. Also is accountable for achievement of plant performance objectives while adhering to stated budgets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Presents a commitment to high standards and the ability to inspire those qualities in subordinates at these same high levels.
· Coordinates and evaluates the efforts of all Plant subordinates in reaching stated organizational goals.
· Recognizes and helps solve problems affecting production including schedules, staff, and quality.
· Leads efforts to provide technical training and guidance to management and team members.
· Represents the company's position and interest effectively in dealings with outside contractors and vendors.
· Ensures Production meets customer requirements and delivery requests.
· Communicates effectively when speaking, writing, and listening to subordinates and supervisors.
· Direct and coordinate daily operations of the manufacturing plant
· Develop processes to increase productivity and enhance performance
· Ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times
· Screen, interview and manage the onboarding process of new hires
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· May recommend changes to improve quality or manufacturing processes while reducing costs.
· May provide input in upgrading facility's equipment or purchase of new equipment.
· May provide operational support to all plant departments.
· May interact with Diamond’s sales team or broker’s who represent Diamond interests in handling various product/shipping issues that may arise.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
· A bachelor’s degree in business management, Engineering, or related field.
· At least five years work experience in manufacturing industry which practices a participative teamwork approach with a high regard for the individual.
· Demonstrates a style of participative management in problem solving, project implementation, and continuous improvement objectives.
· The ability to manage and motivate others.
· Communications skills including the knowledge of computer systems.
Salary Range: $120k - $160k
Bonus Target: 15%
