Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and utensils.
- Assist customers with menu selections, providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Manage inventory levels, restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Engage with customers, building rapport and fostering loyalty through excellent service.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Experience in cash handling, including operating cash registers and processing transactions.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash register operation and sales calculations.
- Knowledge of food handling practices within the food industry.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems for efficient order processing.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not required.
- A passion for coffee culture and eagerness to learn about different beverage preparations.
