Overview
Join our team as a Regional Milk Truck Driver with Diamond D Transport. This role offers the opportunity to be a vital part of Idaho and Washington's Dairy production logistics. We are starting a new route for Jerome ID to Pasco WA. There are 7 loads avalible per week now, with more to come. There are 12 hour and 16 hour round trip options. Schedule is a 5 day a week Saturday through Wednesday rotation. Full weekends availible off by request. Weekdays are $28 and Weekends are $32. We are considered Ag so unfortunantly, we dont pay overtime.

Duties
- Safely operate tractor-quad axle trailer to transport milk from Dairies to milk plants.
- Obtain Milk hauling licence from ISDA.
- Get trained on how to properly load your own load. We will help with the training
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checks on manual transmission systems, and trailer integrity.
- Follow designated routes diligently, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations while managing route driving schedules effectively.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Communicate proactively with the dispatcher regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or any issues encountered during transit.
- Assist in maintaining vehicle cleanliness and basic maintenance to ensure optimal performance throughout your shifts.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience in tractor-trailer operation; experience with manual transmission preferred.
- Proven truck driving experience, especially in freight delivery within regional territories.
- Familiarity with tanker trucks, or similar equipment is highly desirable.
- Medical Card, tanker endorsement
- Strong knowledge of route driving best practices and safety protocols for commercial driving.
- Physical ability to perform duties such as lifting heavy loads, climbing into trucks, and performing inspections regularly.
