Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubber & mopping
- Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, bopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal on a daily basis.
- Operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and industrial cleaning equipment to ensure optimal floor care and buffing results.
- Follow all safety protocols during cleaning operations to prevent accidents or injuries while ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Support general janitorial duties for commercial or industrial cleaning environments, ensuring high standards of sanitation are upheld at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in custodial work or janitorial services with knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures.
- Skilled in handling chemical agents safely and understanding chemical handling safety procedures.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools efficiently.
- Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices for heavy objects or supplies.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance including basic repairs and residential painting is a plus.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and sanitation standards across various environments.
