Our Bench Jewelers are responsible for performing a wide range of jewelry repair and manufacturing tasks with precision and extreme attention to detail. They work with our sales staff and management to meet our clients’ expectations. They have expertise in precious metals and gemstones and have strong craftsmanship to ensure our high quality standards are met.

What will you do as a Bench Jeweler at Diamond Cellar?
Our Bench Jewelers are responsible for performing a wide range of jewelry repair and manufacturing tasks with precision and extreme attention to detail. They work with our sales staff and management to meet our clients’ expectations. They have expertise in precious metals and gemstones and have strong craftsmanship to ensure our high quality standards are met.
- Perform jewelry repairs including ring sizing, soldering, stone setting, prong re-tipping, chain and clasp repair, and polishing/finishing.
- Execute custom jewelry work, fabrication, and restoration as needed.
- Inspect, diagnose, and estimate repair needs for the customer, and store-owned jewelry.
- Ensure all repairs and custom work are completed to company quality standards and within established timelines.
- Handle and work with precious metals, diamonds, and gemstones with care and accuracy.
- Maintain an organized work bench, tools, and equipment in safe and efficient condition.
- Collaborate with team members to provide excellent customer service and support sales efforts.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- At least 5 years professional experience as a bench jeweler, or related experience.
- Proficient in stone setting (prong, bezel, channel, pave), soldering, fabrication, and polishing
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with CAD design and wax carving, a plus
- GIA certification, a plus
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of jewelry manufacturing process and materials
- Organized with strong communication skills
- Earn piecework pay in addition to your base wage – no cap on piecework pay!
