What will you do as an Assistant Buyer at Diamond Cellar?

The Assistant Buyer plays a key role within the merchandising team, supporting the overall buying and product strategy for Store 5a. Store 5a is located in each of our Diamond Cellar locations and focuses on buying and selling some of the most sought after jewelry, watches, and handbags. Each piece is carefully authenticated and refurbished by their team of experts before being listed for sale providing a safe and simple way for customers to buy and sell luxury goods.

This entry level position offers an opportunity to learn about high-end jewelry, watches, and designer handbags. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in luxury goods, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for fine jewelry and luxury fashion.

• Run and analyze weekly and monthly sales and inventory reports for Store 5a.
• Monitor sell-through, margin, and replenishment trends to inform buying decisions.
• Assist with visual organization of product areas and help prepare merchandise for photography or listing.
• Overseeing and providing soft offers for online “Sell with Us” submissions.
• Support buyers by entering purchase orders in internal systems.
• Support merchandise allocation by ensuring the right product is sent to the right store based on sales trends, store needs, and inventory levels.
• Prepare handbags and accessories for inventory, including inspection and cleaning.
• Participate in product authentication and assist in identifying counterfeit risks.
• Other related duties as assigned.
  
  

What are we looking for in an Assistant Buyer at Diamond Cellar?

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field; or equivalent experience in luxury retail buying, a plus.
• 1 year of experience in buying, merchandising, or a related area (preferably in luxury goods, jewelry, or fashion).
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and business reporting tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for fine jewelry, craftsmanship, and luxury brand standards.
