EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Responsibilities:
- Operates one of the following equipment to accomplish task:
- Cranes, forklifts, steel saws, press brake, plasma, laser cutter, and sandblaster.
- Prior to operating equipment, conducts routine inspections to identify needed maintenance or repairs.
- Monitors gauges and other indicators to ensure safe operation.
- Performs or requests necessary repairs and adjustments to equipment.
- Tasks vary by department.
- Report any incident (injury, illness, near miss), or safety hazard to immediate supervisor.
- Properly wear, care, clean, maintain, store, and inspect PPE as required.
- Only perform tasks that you are properly equipped and trained to perform.
- Operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Take responsibility for your personal wellbeing and that of others
- Actively participate in EHS training and investigations.
- Perform other job duties and responsibilities as needed by Production Leadership.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of practices involved in the use of various types of equipment.
- Understanding of safety rules and ability to safely operate machinery.
- Frequent exposure to odor, noise, dust, heat, cold and airborne particles.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Education and Experience:
- Equivalent combination of training and experience operating the following equipment:
- Cranes, forklifts, steel saws, plasma laser cutter, and sandblasters.
