Position Overview:
The Director, Food and Beverage is responsible for effectively and profitably managing all food and beverage operations including concessions, premium, catering, and warehouse for all baseball and non-baseball events at Maimonides Park. This position reports to the Regional Director, Food and Beverage and the property General Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, and manage a team of seasonal and full- time employees
- Monitor staff performance as it relates to speed of service, quality of product, and guest relations to deliver an exceptional fan experience.
- Manage cost as it pertains to labor, food and beverage, operating supplies, etc, working within established budgets
- Maintain proper safety and sanitation procedures and create a working relationship with local health officials
- Create a schedule to ensure proper repair, maintenance, and cleanliness of all food service areas and equipment
- Schedule and work closely with multiple sub- contractors and non- profit groups
- Oversee monthly inventory and the ordering and receiving of food and beverage products
- Work closely with the General Manager to create an expansive menu with classic, exciting, creative, and affordable options
- Accurately report on all food and beverage operations in a timely manner to all interested parties
- Regularly monitor guest satisfaction surveys and secret shopper reports to assess the current fan experience and pivot operations when necessary
- Perform other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous leadership experience in the food and beverage industry (high- volume, concessions experience preferred), to include the management of a large staff
- Strong working knowledge of all facets of the food and beverage industry, including but not limited to food safety, sanitation, inventory control, labor management, quality control, responsible beverage service
- Demonstrated financial acumen and full P&L accountability
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate and influence
- Familiarity with various POS and BOH systems and the ability to troubleshoot these systems when needed
- Passion for providing exceptional customer service
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Ability to work all Brooklyn Cyclones home games and non- baseball events
Salary : $95,000 - $130,000
