Diamond Age Data Science is hiring for an upcoming part-time (20 hours), full‑time (40 hours), time‑bound (6‑month) client-facing roles supporting our genomics‑focused data science and bioinformatics work. - Part-time Temporary roles (6 Months) (Massachusetts only): W‑2 positions with a defined duration (typically 6 months), part‑time (20 hours per week)
- 1099 Contractors: independent contractor roles for specific project work.
What You’ll Likely Work On
Depending on the role and project, work may include:
- Building and refining genomics and omics data pipelines
- Performing exploratory data analysis in biological context
- Developing statistical or computational models grounded in experimental questions
- Translating complex analytical results into clear scientific recommendations
- Collaborating closely with scientists, engineers, and analysts
- Documenting assumptions, methods, and interpretations with scientific rigor
What We’re Looking For
We’re interested in candidates with experience in some combination of:
- 3 years experience in diagnostics or similar regulated production environments required.
- Expertise designing, building and maintaining genomics pipelines for validated production systems.
- MS or higher in bioinformatics, genomics data science, or computer science, and work experience in all three.
- Python and AWS expertise required. Amazon Omics and WDL experience a plus.
- Daily execution of software engineering development best practices (e.g. source control, dev lifecycle, standups, code reviews, unit tests, and writing robust documentation).
- Delivering work independently while contributing thoughtfully to a collaborative team.
