We are seeking gifted, experienced OR/ PACU Registered Nurses to join our fabulous healthcare team in a beautiful, new, state of the art Ambulatory Surgery Center located in downtown Indianapolis.

As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients. Must be friendly, reliable, positive, self-motivated, a joy to work with, and have exceptional bedside manner. Experience with starting IV's, working in pre-op, IV conscious sedation/ intra-op, and/ or post is desired. Vascular surgery, Interventional Radiology, Intensive Care/ Critical Care and/ or Dialysis background is a plus, but not absolutely required. Must be able to provide vaccine information, including the COVID vaccine.
Responsibilities:
- Work in pre-op/ post-op. Recover conscious sedation patients
- Cross-train in the OR as a sedation nurse
- Provide direct patient care, including assessing patients' conditions, vital signs, administering medications, and implementing treatment plans
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems to document patient information accurately
- Ability to float into intra op, administer conscious sedation, circulate
- Conduct pre-op/ post-op patient phone calls
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Stay updated on the latest medical advancements and best practices in nursing care
Skills:
- Experience in providing preoperative, intra-operative, and post-operative care to patients with and without anesthesia
- Experience in moderate sedation
- Excellent patient assessment skills to identify changes in health status and implement appropriate interventions
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and educate patients on their treatment plans
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patient assignments efficiently
