We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dialysis team and deliver high-quality care to patients with kidney disease and kidney failure.
Position Summary
The Dialysis Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment. This role includes patient assessment, treatment monitoring, medication administration, patient education, and management of treatment-related complications. The RN works closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered dialysis care while promoting positive clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients before, during, and after dialysis treatments.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on patient needs and clinical standards.
- Administer medications and therapeutic interventions as prescribed.
- Educate patients and families about kidney disease, dialysis treatments, and self-care management.
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot dialysis equipment to ensure safe treatment delivery.
- Delegate tasks and provide guidance to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs).
- Assist with equipment cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance procedures.
- Serve as a positive role model and contribute to a collaborative, team-focused environment.
Qualifications
Required
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or an approved compact state.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
Preferred
- Previous dialysis or nephrology nursing experience.
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
