Position Summary

The Marketing Director will own the company’s marketing strategy, product positioning, and brand execution across industrial and hazardous markets. This leader must understand the unique demands of hazardous-location lighting—certifications, compliance, durability, and performance—and translate these into compelling, channel-friendly marketing materials.


 You will manage a marketing team and work cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Regulatory teams to support product launches, channel programs, and market expansion.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing & Market Development

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy.
  • Identify growth opportunities across targeted industries, end users, channel partners, EPC’s, engineering firms, and contractors.
  • Drive brand differentiation by highlighting engineering, specifications, quality, certifications, durability, and application expertise.

Product & Technical Marketing

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Product Management to understand technical specifications, testing standards, certification requirements, and use cases.
  • Produce detailed product collateral including spec sheets, cut sheets, application guides, hazardous compliance material, and launch packages.
  • Promote competitive analysis focusing on industrial and hazardous lighting competitors, pricing ranges, and feature sets through sales enablement tools

Channel & Distributor Marketing

  • Build, support, and track marketing programs tailored for rep agencies, distributor networks, and channel partners.
  • Create distributor toolkits, training materials, co-branded content, and sales enablement resources.
  • Strengthen agent engagement through campaigns, newsletters, webinars, and launch communications.
  • Support channel sales with product training, line-card updates, and co-branded marketing materials.

Digital Marketing & Lead Generation

  • Manage the company website, ensuring accurate technical information, compliance documentation, and application-specific resources.
  • Lead SEO/SEM strategies targeting industrial/hazardous lighting terms.
  • Oversee digital campaigns, email marketing, social media presence, and marketing automation.
  • Implement lead tracking and analytics through CRM and reporting dashboards.

Brand, Events & Communications

  • Maintain brand consistency across all materials, ensuring a high level of technical credibility and professionalism.
  • Oversee trade show strategy (e.g., IEEE, Petroleum, Industrial Safety, Electrical Distributor expos) and industry events.
  • Manage PR, case studies, video content, and industry thought leadership with a focus on safety, compliance, and application expertise.

Team & Budget Management

  • Lead and develop a marketing team capable of executing multi-channel strategies.
  • Establish annual marketing budgets, KPIs, reporting, and ROI tracking.

 

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8 years of experience in B2B or industrial manufacturing marketing; lighting/electrical experience strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of hazardous-location requirements (Class/Division/Zone ratings) or experience marketing regulated/industrial products.
  • Experience working with agency networks, distributors, or channel-driven sales models.
  • Strong technical communication skills.
  • Proficiency with digital marketing tools, CRM systems, analytics, and content creation. 

Preferred

  • Experience in LED lighting, electrical components, industrial equipment, or safety products.
  • Experience managing hybrid marketing and product marketing teams.

 

Salary : $110,000 - $150,000
