Position Overview
The CIO/CISO will oversee the company’s information technology infrastructure, cybersecurity program, software systems and support development of Dialight’s digital assets. This includes managing network operations, ensuring data and system security, and driving data-based process improvements across manufacturing, engineering, and business functions.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and hands-on leader with proven experience in cybersecurity, cost effective IT operations, and software or ERP project management.
Key Responsibilities
IT Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT roadmap that aligns with company objectives and growth strategies
- Develop IT and digital capability as enablers of customer value and growth
- Successfully collaborate on a global scale with Finance, Operations, HR, and Supply Chain, and provide clear communication between IT and other departments, as well as executive leadership.
- Oversee all IT operations, including systems, network, and infrastructure management in a global business.
- Evaluate emerging digital technologies to enhance manufacturing efficiency, business intelligence, operational security and delivery of customer value
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of cybersecurity policies and controls
- Create and maintain policies and procedures for threat monitoring and risk management
- Manage risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and incident response procedures
- Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity and data protection standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CMMC, GDPR)
- Track, brief management and preempt changes to relevant data, cyber and IT standards
- Conduct employee security awareness and training initiatives
Infrastructure & Systems Management
- Maintain reliable IT systems supporting manufacturing, engineering, and office operations
- Oversee cloud and on-premise infrastructure, ensuring uptime, data protection, cost effectiveness and disaster recovery readiness
- Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and technology partners
- System design and architecture, including testing.
Software & Project Management
- Lead projects related to ERP (INFOR), CRM, MES, or other enterprise software implementations or upgrades
- Establish structured project management and change control processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and deliver technology solutions that improve efficiency and data visibility
- Oversee system integrations across departments and ensure software aligns with operational workflows
Team Development & Leadership
- Build and manage a skilled IT team or external IT partners
- Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the IT organization
- Maintain a resilient cross-trained IT team
- Promote training through programs and workshops, and assess program effectiveness
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 8 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience managing cybersecurity programs and IT infrastructure in a manufacturing or industrial setting across multiple globally distributed sites.
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) certification
- Experience with INFOR, Mapics, or similar system.
- Experience implementing or upgrading ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
- Strong understanding of networking, cybersecurity, cloud and database environments, and best practices
- Project management experience (PMP certification or equivalent preferred)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to bridge technical and business objectives
- Hands-on, proactive, and adaptable to a growing, fast-paced environment
Location
This role will be based out of our Farmingdale, NJ office on a hybrid basis. Up to 10% international travel is required as needed.
