Position Summary: This position will support our portfolio by analyzing and troubleshooting network systems and software. The System Administrator handles a variety of projects to support, improve, and strategically move forward the organization’s systems and technology. A background in Microsoft products is essential for this role.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide support and troubleshoot issues on day-to-day essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware. 
  • Support services for technologies utilized by the company. 
  • Support end users and troubleshoot issues present in day-to-day operations.
  • Assist with new technology to meet business needs and improve efficiency. 
  • Assist Director of Technology with growing and automating technology infrastructure
  • Install, upgrade, and monitor software and hardware. 
  • Document all technical procedures and user guides. 
  • Respond to, resolve, and track help-desk tickets while improving customer service, perception, and satisfaction. 
  • Administer network security measures to prevent system interruptions or breaches, and backup sensitive data. 
  • Partner with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and status. 
  • Put process in place for the system and collaborate with Key Users to successfully launch, train on, and maintain a system. 
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and change management. 
  • Maintain internal documentation as support material for training. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

  • Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field, or 5 years proven work experience in IT. 
  • Certifications related to networking, Microsoft infrastructure, or modern desktops
  • 3 years experience as Junior Systems Administrator or Super User
  • Experience in front line team member support. 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • High degree of initiative, motivation, and attention to detail. 
  • Strong information technology, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills. 
  • Time management/prioritization and follow-up skills. 
  • Work well with minimal direction, take proactive measures as required.
