Essential Job Responsibilities
- Operate dishwasher and ensure proper sanitation of kitchenware including dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and trays.
- Hand wash kitchen items not suitable for the dishwasher.
- Store items in their proper spot and maintain a tidy and organized kitchen.
- Notify manager if dish machine malfunctions or requires maintenance.
- Clean equipment, appliances, storage area, and sinks according to schedule.
- Support kitchen staff with basic prep, item restock, or delivery of clean items when needed.
- Provide customer service to residents to allow a high level of resident satisfaction.
- Bus tables during and after meals and clear tables when residents are finished eating, as requested.
- Maintain a clean, orderly and safe kitchen environment as required by local and state health departments.
- Perform routine preventative cleaning on dish machine according to schedule.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Other Requirements
- Must be age 16 or older
- Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Promote teamwork in providing services to residents.
- Follow state food-handling and kitchen regulations
- Operation of basic kitchen appliances or willingness to learn.
- Working 3-3.75 hours per shift standing, walking, and moving about without the need to sit down

- Enjoyment in working with older adults
- Some experience in food cleanup or preparation is preferred
