What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bulk Packer position at Diag Partners?
We are looking to add one temp on second and one temp on third (2 total) for a bulk packing position in Altraset at our facility in Painesville. This position involves weighing and packing up our compound in the materials side of our business. It can be somewhat intensive as the employees are on their feet and may need to lift as much as 50 pounds of material to move certain bags. This job could result in temp-to-hire, depending on how the assignment goes (we do not have a determined end date for the assignment).
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Follow safety and lockout equipment procedures.
- Must be able to maintain a 95% or better attendance record.
- Follows work instructions pertaining to job description.
- Prepares BMC for use in-plant or by outside customers by packaging in bulk quantities.
- Must be able to stand while operating machinery.
- Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 70 lbs.
- Operate automated packaging station
- Maintains a clean and safe environment.
Skill Requirements:
- Ability to read, understand and follow work instructions.
- Basic math skills specifically adding & subtracting.
- Ability to understand & complete Lock Out/Tag Out Certification Exam
- Ability to set up and operate machinery / equipment. Including using specific tools to clean equipment.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to read, write & speak English
- Basic understanding how to navigate and use a personal computer, HMI Screen, etc.
- Current and valid OSHA forklift operation certificate.
Tools/Equipment/Materials:
- Weighing scales, hand scrapers, thermometers, etc. BMC, miscellaneous solvents for cleaning mixers, plastic bags, cardboard boxes, labels, pallets, etc.

License/Certification:
- Current and valid OSHA forklift operation certificate (Required)
