Private Optometry practice with offices in Antioch and Walnut Creek seeks experienced full time Optician / Optometric Assistant with experience preferred but not required. We are hiring for our Walnut Creek office.
We are seeking a candidate that can both maximize practice growth and be a genuine "people person", friendly, and outgoing. Applicant must be professional, dependable with an excellent attendance record, detail-oriented and highly motivated with the willingness to learn and help our well-established patients. We strive to provide world class service, and have patients who seek out our practice for the products and services we provide.
Team is eligible for production bonuses (and has achieved bonus for the past 8 months running!)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:
Be passionate about eyewear, and style. Be a team player. Willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver an exceptional experience to the patient.
*Front Desk, greeting patients, Scheduling appointments
*Patient Pretesting, Visual fields, Optomap, OCT
- Proficient in adjustments and repairs of all frame types
- Familiarity with optical insurance billing (VSP)
- Track lab & frame invoices in timely manner
- Order and keep inventory of all frames & misc optical supplies
- Maintains a clutter free and organized clean environment
- Frame selection and dispensing
- Explain lens options and benefits
- Check in completed glasses orders and dispense in a timely manner
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
-Enthusiastically fill in and assist other team members when needed (greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, check insurance authorizations, patient pretesting/work up, frame selection)
-Pre-test patients and contact lens training as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28.0 – 40.0 per week
