What You’ll Do
As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in patient care by ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate specimen collection and handling.
- Verify patient identity using two or more identifiers
- Prepare equipment and supplies for efficient blood collection
- Provide a calm, reassuring experience for patients of all ages
- Maintain infection control and safety standards at all times
- Work closely with providers and clinical staff to support patient flow
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with clinic protocols
- Clean and sterilize equipment, instruments, and work areas following infection control standards
- Monitor storage temperatures and track expiration dates of refrigerated supplies
- Inventory supplies and place orders to ensure uninterrupted patient care
- Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations
What We’re Looking For
- Strong knowledge of phlebotomy techniques and medical terminology
- Working knowledge of clinic protocols, policies, and HIPAA requirements
- Ability to perform efficient, accurate venipuncture with a focus on patient comfort
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and coworkers
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in a busy environment
- Effective time management and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and respond appropriately to clinical direction
- Strong eye–hand coordination to ensure safe and comfortable procedures
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomist Certification required
- 3–4 years of phlebotomy experience, preferably in a busy outpatient or clinic setting
