What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Literacy Volunteer position at Diabetes Foundation?
DF serves people living with Type 1, Type 2 and gestational diabetes within the state of New Jersey. Our support services provide children and adults with necessary resources to help navigate this chronic disease which is impacting 1 in 12 people in our state.

Our health literacy initiative is designed to advance health equity by helping individuals find, understand, and use vital health information. By simplifying complex health topics in a poster and video format, this program will empower people to make informed decisions and take meaningful steps toward better health. Our health literacy volunteers will help us expand this initiative across New Jersey by visiting food pantries, pitching the program to them and acquiring partnerships. Your work will help us get important diabetes information into the communities that need it most!
