Registered Dietitian (RD) Job Description
Diabetes & Endocrinology Center of Ohio (DECO), Inc. is seeking a part-time Registered Dietitian to join the practice. The primary role of the RD will consist of nutrition counseling services. Assessing the dietary and health needs of patients, developing meal plans, and counseling patients on food and nutrition, and how it can impact their health. In addition, the RD will be responsible for the management of the DECO Healthy Living™ Weight Loss Program, a medically monitored weight loss program utilizing meal replacement products as a tool for weight loss.
The practice currently employs one full-time Board-Certified Endocrinologist and three full-time Board-Certified Physician Assistants
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- Candidate must be a Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration and Licensed by the Ohio Board of Dietetics
- The ability to determine calorie intake based on patient need and weight loss goals
- The ability to create individual, personalized meal plans utilizing pertinent medical data and exercise recommendations to assist patients in achieving their goals
- Make culturally and age-appropriate recommendations for nutritional interventions and provide medical nutrition therapy per standards of practice
- Have some knowledge of the endocrine conditions that are predominant within the practice, i.e., Diabetes Mellitus, PCOS, Obesity, and Thyroid conditions
- Working knowledge of an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is a plus but not required.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's Degree (BS or BA) RD - Registered Dietitian (must be certified and licensed)
Field of Study: Dietetics and Nutrition
Experience Level: at least 1 year of experience as an RD is preferred
Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour
