Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess relevant experience in handling and caring for animals.
Duties:
- Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, and exercising
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and animal living areas
- Monitor the health and well-being of animals
- Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff
- Assist with grooming and bathing of animals
- Interact with pet owners and provide exceptional customer service
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and behavior
-Maintain cleanliness of kennels inside and out
Requirements:
- Previous experience in animal care or related field preferred
- Knowledge of basic animal handling techniques
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong communication skills with both clients and coworkers
- Physical ability to lift and move animals of various sizes
- Certification as a Veterinary Assistant or similar qualification is a plus
- Familiarity with dog training techniques is beneficial
