What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at Di An Di?
Di An Di is a Vietnamese restaurant and bar with a focus on modern and traditional Vietnamese fare recently awarded a Michelin Plate. We’ve been featured in Bon Appetit, Eater, The Infatuation, NY Mag's Grub Street, etc. Located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, we aim to be a staple for our neighborhood and a destination for New Yorkers and beyond. Our mission is to share our passion for food and drink, offering attentive, genuine service and provide good vibes to our guests.
We're hiring servers for part- time. Our ideal candidate would be someone who is open to mainly serving but is open to food running from time to time. Must be available 3-4 shifts a week for a combination of lunch and dinner shifts. Open availability is required.
Responsibilities
* Servers are primary contact for all guests in the dining room and are responsible for ensuring guests satisfaction.
* Greeting all guests and guiding them through the ordering process and performing beverage service whenever necessary. Announcing food and beverage dropline at the table, presentation, and table maintenance including marking flatware, and helping clear tables when necessary.
* Have a comprehensive understanding of the details of the menu. Understanding preparations, technique, menu structure, price, ingredients, origin, suppliers, seasonality, flavors, textures, allergies, presentation, limitations, history, and food culture related.
* Has the understanding of the full beverage program including wine, cocktail, beer, and n/a beverage.
