DHVI is the premier downhole camera service provider, designing and operating leading edge video and well logging technology. We are currently expanding and in search of field personnel in West Texas!
Position: Field Specialist
Reporting Line: US Operations Manager
Interface With: Clients and Service Companies, Sales and Operations, Engineering
Location: Based in Midland-Odessa, Texas or nearby in the region. Regular travel within the region, primarily covering work in West Texas. Potential for occasional travel to other operating regions within the country.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Operation of all DHVI camera and logging equipment on site as required in order to meet the Client's objectives.
- Execute standard operating procedures, and draft operating procedures to match evolving on site objectives.
- Preparation and review of customer deliverables including logged video and tool data, detailed job notes and HSE documentation.
- Interface with all on site company personnel including wireline, coiled tubing, rig crews and well site supervisors.
- Company workshop based tasks in the support of operations such as preventative maintenance and preparation of equipment prior to mobilization.
- Abiding by and maintaining adherence to Company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures at all times.
- Preparation of required documentation including but not limited to hazard assessments, risk assessments, operating procedures and service reports.
- Available on call while on shift and ready to travel on short notice to Client's locations.
Desired Qualifications
- Work experience in a related oil & gas service (wireline, coiled tubing, downhole tools, etc.)
- Understanding of oil & gas operations, including wellbore completions and other downhole equipment.
- Strong technical skillset and ability to work with a variety of computer software packages.
- Clean drivers abstract with valid drivers license. Ability to travel long distances as required.
- Wireline logging experience including use of Warrior logging system an asset.
- Excellent communication skills both written and in person with clients and service company representatives.
- Ability to work long hours and persevere through changing work conditions.
Certifications
- Standard oil & gas safety certifications will be required
- Customer specific on-site training as required.
