Position Overview
The Kitchen Manager / Banquet Chef oversees all aspects of kitchen operations, from daily restaurant service to banquet and event execution. This leader ensures every dish meets the highest standards of quality, presentation, and consistency while maintaining a positive and productive kitchen culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including restaurant and banquet service.
- Plan menus, supervise food preparation, and ensure exceptional quality and presentation.
- Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff — fostering a collaborative and professional environment.
- Manage kitchen schedules, inventory, and purchasing to maintain cost efficiency.
- Uphold Hilton brand standards and ensure strict compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements.
- Collaborate on creative seasonal menus and special event offerings.
- Monitor food and labor costs to maximize profitability.
- Lead banquet operations, including menu planning, preparation, and on-site event execution.
- Serve as the acting culinary lead.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Kitchen Manager, Banquet Chef, or similar culinary leadership role.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
- Excellent culinary skills with a passion for quality, creativity, and consistency.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices.
- Understand and execute strict inventory controls to minimize food cost, waste & shrinkage.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands.
