As Head of Operations, you will have end-to-end responsibility for site manufacturing execution, operational performance, customer delivery, and cross-functional coordination. You will lead a broad organization spanning Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, Logistics, Materials, and Production leadership while partnering closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Program Management, HR, and Finance. The role will focus on improving throughput, strengthening operational discipline, driving continuous improvement, accelerating new product introductions, and building a scalable operation capable of supporting the company's continued growth. This position offers significant executive visibility and serves as a key succession opportunity within the broader Amphenol organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day manufacturing operations for Times Microwave Systems' largest North American production site.
- Drive operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, throughput, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee Manufacturing Engineering, Planning & Scheduling, Materials, Logistics, Inventory, and Production leadership.
- Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Program Management, HR, and Finance to ensure seamless execution.
- Improve manufacturing flow, capacity utilization, cycle times, and on-time delivery while reducing operational variability.
- Lead operational readiness for new product introductions (NPI) and support complex, high-mix manufacturing programs.
- Champion lean manufacturing, structured problem-solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, execution, and developing future operational leaders.
Ideal Candidate Requirements
- 10 years of progressive manufacturing operations leadership experience with responsibility for site-level performance.
- Proven success leading complex, high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments with demanding customer requirements.
- Experience managing multi-functional operations organizations, including Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, Materials, and Logistics.
- Demonstrated ability to improve operational KPIs including on-time delivery, throughput, cycle time, productivity, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Strong cross-functional leadership with the ability to influence Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management.
- Experience driving lean manufacturing, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and root cause problem solving.
- Engineering mindset with the ability to understand manufacturing processes, technical products, and production constraints.
- Experience within aerospace & defense, electronics, RF/microwave, electromechanical manufacturing, medical devices, or other highly regulated advanced manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
- A hands-on, high-accountability leadership style with a bias for action, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead through change in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
