Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of truck and delivery van. Your expertise will ensure optimal operational efficiency, safety, and reliability of machinery and electrical systems.
Responsibilities
Ford F-59 mechanic duties & responsibilities
A mechanic working on an F-59 is generally responsible for maintaining and repairing the chassis, drivetrain, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical system, andrelated commercial-vehicle components.
Routine maintenance
- Perform engine oil and filter changes.
- Inspect and service transmission fluid.
- Check coolant, belts, hoses, and engine components.
- Lubricate chassis and steering/suspension components as required.
- Inspect air and fuel filters and replace when necessary.
- Check batteries, charging system, and starting system.
- Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM).
Engine & drivetrain
- Diagnose and repair engine performance problems.
- Inspect/repair fuel, ignition, and emissions systems.
- Diagnose transmission and driveline problems.
- Service driveshafts, U-joints, differential, and related components.
- Perform diagnostic scans and interpret trouble codes.
- Verify repairs through operational testing.
Brakes
- Inspect brake pads/shoes, rotors/drums, calipers, and hardware.
- Inspect brake lines, hoses, and fluid.
- Diagnose ABS warning lights and brake-system faults.
- Replace worn brake components.
- Perform brake adjustments or bleeding when required.
- Verify proper braking performance after repairs.
Steering & suspension
- Inspect steering linkage, tie rods, ball joints, and steering gear.
- Inspect shocks, springs, bushings, and other suspension components.
- Diagnose steering vibration, pulling, wandering, or abnormal tire wear.
- Perform or arrange wheel alignment when required.
Electrical & diagnostics
- Diagnose electrical faults using a multimeter and scan tools.
- Repair wiring, connectors, grounds, fuses, and relays.
- Diagnose lighting, gauges, warning lights, and vehicle-control systems.
- Troubleshoot starting and charging problems.
- Document diagnostic findings and repairs.
Commercial-vehicle responsibilities
Because the F-59 is often used as a commercial/work vehicle, the mechanic should also:
- Perform thorough pre-/post-repair safety inspections.
- Identify defects that could make the vehicle unsafe or out of service.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Follow the manufacturer's service procedures and applicable fleet/companyrequirements.
- Inspect components affected by the vehicle's body or upfit.
- Communicate safety-critical defects to the fleet manager or responsible supervisor.
- Keep the vehicle compliant with applicable inspection requirements
Pay: $26.06 - $31.39 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 β 35.0 per week
