Key Responsibilities:
Gateway Operations Import & Export
- Gain familiarization of Gateway functionality of Cargo Mix & ULD Optimization
- Determine the carrier and ground handler functionality and relationship
- Learn how to navigate and analyze the business unit’s profitability & financials
- Analyze warehouse work and process flow
- Conduct dwell time calculation and identify areas for improvement
- Complete workflow reviews and present optimization projects
- Cross‑functional collaboration by working with fellow interns and teams across the Midwest region
- Organizational design fundamentals, including how departments are structured and staffed to support business goals
- Performance measurement and execution, learning how key metrics are tracked and used to drive results
- Accounts Receivable processes, including billing, collections, and their impact on cash flow
- Process evaluation and optimization, participating in projects that improve efficiency, productivity, and workflow
- Business profitability analysis, contributing to projects focused on cost control, revenue improvement, and financial performance
- Gain hands-on experience and develop your leadership skills.
